Stella Damasus Rivals Ebube Nwagbo...Floats Hairline [PICTURES]

Click for Full Image Size
Highly controversial Stella Damasus has shown her love for Ebube Nwagbo's kind of business as she has just floated her own hair brand called Adiva.

Ebube, if you remember two years back came out with her own hairline called Posh Hair, and ever since the sultry actress started the hair business, she has grown in leaps and bounds.

This, according to people in the know, might have led Stella too to dabble into same kind of lucrative business.

Though, Stella too, just like Ebube, has undying love for good hair, this, we gathered, has propelled her into providing women who love style, class, glamour but also those who spend wisely, with a new brand of wigs.

Adiva Hair, as we were told, also has a new brand of Afro puffy twist for braids. This is totally different from what ladies are used to seeing in the market. This puffy hair is very soft and mild and won't hurt the fingers of your braider, it's very light and can last for as long as you want.

We make sex look real in our movies in Ghana-Yvonne Okoro

Yvonne Okoro Talks About S*x…The Contract Bags Six Nominations

This is what Nigeria/Ghana actress, Yvonne Okoro, said when she was asked to defend Ghollywood on n*dity and s*x in their movies, "I think sometimes when you are acting, you feel like doing something that you want to be remembered for. Maybe in the course you overdo it. It depends on the script. I think in Ghana we wanted to start something, like a Trans-setter.

Our culture does not allow topics like s*x and n*dity but in a way sometimes I think we are also being hypocritical. A Hollywood movie will come, we will watch it and be happy and compliment them.

I think if you are going to do n*dity, you should not do it in a tacky way. It should be done with what will conform to our culture. I think it is about choice, if you think you want to remove yourself and think it will help your character and you don’t have a problem with it, it is fine."

The actress whose maiden effort, the Contract movie, has bagged six nominations is already happy about the new development and she is doing everything possible to hit the location soon for another fantastic movie.

Mikel Obi Speaks On Marriage

Mikel Obi recently spoke to Kayode Tijani about his life and other issues. But this is what caught our attention in the interview; where he spoke about marriage.

'I know, normal people don't go through what I am going through now when it concerns finding a Wife to marry, and normal people don't at all. Believe me it's so so difficult, very difficult, it's so so difficult you just have to leave it to God.

There might be someone who really loves me truly for who I am but I may not be aware and maybe you don't know... or you may think she's one of those who loves you for who you are or what you have, or because of your money, maybe she's there for you, you never know, you get so confused, now I have decided I will just leave it to God to decide who I get married to'.

Patience Jonathan Sick Again, In Europe For Treatment?

Mrs. Patience Jonathan receiving the award in Paris
By SaharaReporters, New York

SaharaReporters has learned that Nigeria's First Lady, Patience Jonathan, is sick again and is shuttling between Spain and Germany in search of treatment. A source also told SaharaReporters that the First Lady was also contemplating receiving medical treatment from a US hospital.

Mrs. Jonathan’s renewed health woes have accounted for her absence from several official events in Abuja and her home state of Bayelsa State over the last few days. A few days ago, Mrs. Jonathan made a quiet exit from Abuja en route to France where she was to allegedly receive some unspecified award.

However, a source within the Presidency told SaharaReporters that Mrs. Jonathan’s trip to France was a ploy to enable her to shop for new doctors in Europe for her deteriorating health.

A source disclosed that she left France for Spain. The same source disclosed that the First Lady was considering being moved to a US hospital today. However, a source in the US who is close to the First Family told SaharaReporters that he was “not heard from the first lady regarding her trip to the US.”

Ayo Osinlu, a spokesman of the First Lady, told SaharaReporters that Mrs. Jonathan was in Europe in order to care for an ailing elderly woman who helped raise the First Lady. He failed to disclose the specific European nation where Mrs. Jonathan’s foster mother is hospitalized.

During Mrs. Jonathan’s first extended medical sojourn in Germany, Mr. Osinlu had misled reporters by declaring that the First Lady was merely vacationing abroad after what he described as a series of grueling official functions, including the hosting of a conference of African First Ladies.

Mrs. Jonathan was noticeably absent from a Friday church service organized at the presidential villa yesterday as part of Easter celebrations. She was also missing at another key event where her Africa First Ladies Peace Mission donated relief material to the war-torn country of Mali.

An aide of the First Lady reported that a minister, Ms. Jumoke Akinjide, represented Mrs. Jonathan at the event where relief material was donated to Mali.

During the church service at the Presidential Villa, President Jonathan was flanked by his elderly mother, Eunice Jonathan, as well as Petroleum Minister Diezani Alison-Madueke and Ndudi Elumelu, a member of the House of Representatives indicted for corruption in power sector projects.

Mrs. Alison-Madueke, who has been romantically linked to Mr. Jonathan, wore a large diamond ring at the church service.

One of the last times Mrs. Jonathan was seen in public was on her return from an official visit to Cote d’Ivoire on March 2, 2013. She later made a brief visit to Lagos where she attended a dinner organized for Nollywood stars. Afterwards, she was sighted in Paris where she received the “Global Women Leader for Peace Award 2013.” Since receiving the award on March 17, the First Lady has not been seen in any official photos released from the Presidency.

Her trip to Paris coincided with her husband’s official visit to Equatorial Guinea. Mr. Jonathan was accompanied on that official visit by two female ministers, Stella Oduah of Aviation and Ms. Diezani of Petroleum.

A source in Abuja said Mrs. Jonathan had not been seen in public for close to a week and half, including during a breakfast meeting with the members of the House of Representatives led by Leo Ogor on March 21, 2013.

A few weeks ago, Mrs. Jonathan was at the center of an obscene event where she loquaciously celebrated her ostensible “resurrection from the dead” after dying for more than a week. Some 5,000 guests attended the event at the villa which was televised live, with Pastor Oritsejafor presiding.

At the event, Mrs. Jonathan claimed to have undergone several surgeries during her medical sojourn in Germany. The extended medical visit, which was first reported by Saharareporters, cost Nigeria close to 5 million Euros in medical expenses.

Mrs. Jonathan’s aides had initially passed off her medical trip as a vacation. On her return from Germany, Mrs. Jonathan had also denied ever going for medical treatment.

Saharareporters contacted several presidential aides seeking information about Mrs. Jonathan’s whereabouts, but they failed to return our reporters’ phone calls and text messages.

No big deal posing semi-nude –Ex-beauty queen, Sandra Iwu

Sandra-360x225[1]

Sandra Iwu tells ’Nonye Ben-Nwankwo about her love for modelling

How did modelling start?
My modelling career began in Lagos at Catwalk Studio, Ikeja. That was where I was groomed and I began runway modelling.

Before now, the profession was frowned upon. How were you able to convince your people that you wanted to be a model?

I was already in gymnastics before I became a model. So my parents felt that it was one of those extra-curricular activities that keep children going. So, I had no problem with them.

You were once a beauty queen, tell us what made you participate in in that pageant.
I had watched several beauty pageants and I felt that one day, it could become my turn to show the world what I have got. The interest and courage of stardom made me to contest and I did. Starting from my days at Lagos State University where I became the Most Beautiful Girl in LASU in 2006 and Miss Galaxy in 2007/2008.

It is believed that most beauty queens and models date prominent men? How true is this?
It is true and not true. True in the sense that a lot of prominent men do go out of their way to date a beauty queen just to prove to their friends that they can do it. They will spoil the girl with lots of gift, cars and money. It is also not true because not all models want to be seen with society men, especially married men.

Did the number of your admirers increase when you became a model?
Definitely yes. Even when I do not know them, yet they know me. Sometimes, it’s embarrassing, and at times, it’s fun.

Are there challenges attached to being a model?
Yes, so many. Starting from changing what you wear, to places you go to and things you do at events. Moreso, the kind of people that you go out with will also change. There are several changes that one may not be prepared for so soon.

Can you pose nude as a model?
Yes and no. It all depends on the job and scenario. I might pose semi-nude more likely, but not outright nude.

You are into fashion as well. Can you tell us the most expensive fashion item you have?
The most expensive fashion item I have is a wristwatch, a Rolex wristwatch and it cost me so much money. I bought it for N170, 000 or thereabout.

What can we never see you wear?
I can never wear a G-string on stage.

What do you love to wear?
I love short gowns and I wear them a lot.

Which part of your body do you see as your best asset?
I love my smile and I’ve got great legs.

How many pairs of shoes do you have?
I should have more than 50 pairs of shoes and still counting.

Is it a big deal to undress and change into another outfit at a fashion show where male models are?
Of course, it is not a big deal. We are used to it. It’s part of the profession.

Would you say being a model has been profitable?
Yes, it has given me fulfilment, exposure, connections, interactions, global tours and many more.

How come Nigerian models are not really appreciated like the ones abroad?
The nation’s economy is not the same as in Europe and America. So, the remuneration is not the same.

Do you intend to stay slim all your life in order to remain a model?
I can’t really say so; everything will change as I grows and the general changes of life which come naturally.

Do we see you having kids soon or do you think it will affect your shape?
I’m not having kids any time soon. It will come as God gives me the grace to finish with what I am into now and settle for life.

How much were you paid the first time you worked as a model?
It was an MTN campaign 2004 BY TBWA ad agency. We were paid N200,000 for a year exposure.

How come you decided to be a part of Gulder Ultimate search?
It was for the adventure, exposure and with a view to proving that I’m still sporty, strong and flexible.

Police warn Lagos State churches over Boko Haram, Don’t allow phone-charging inside church buildings

FOLLOWING the discovery of bombs in a building in State and reports of likely invasion of the South-West region by suspected members, the have deployed crack teams of policemen to patrol worship centres during and after the Easter service in the region.

Indeed, police commands in all the states in the zone have stepped up surveillance around worship centres while churches and communities have been asked to be vigilant.
Specifically, worshippers were advised not to allow anyone to charge phones or any electronic device in churches during church service.

In Ogun State, a team of heavily armed policemen was sighted at the Christ Anglican Church, Ogere Remo, during the service. The officers told the sexton as well as some youths of the church to be on the lookout strangers who might disguise as worshippers to execute terrorist attacks on their church.

The policemen exchanged phone numbers with the youth and told them to call their hotlines if they suspected any strange occurrence, adding that the current security situation in the country calls for increased vigilance on the part of all.

“In case you see anybody who is not a member of your church, kindly query such person. Also, if anybody says he or she wants to come and charge his or her phone and you know very well that the person is not your member, politely turn the person back. Don’t allow anyone plug any unfamiliar device in your church,” one of the policemen told them.

The same policemen were also later sighted at the Ogere Central Mosque, close to the former tollgate on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, where they combed the vicinity during the Friday prayer service.

In a chat, the Divisional Police Officer, Ogere divisional headquarters, John Oluwole told Saturday Tribune that the patrol was as a result of the directive from the Force Headquarters, communicated to the divisions and police formations through the state command.

He added that his men had also begun the patrol of churches during vigils – all in efforts to avoid being caught unawares by suicide bombers and unscrupulous individuals.

Ogun State Police Public Relation Officer, Mr. Muyiwa Adejobi, who would not confirm the police warning to churches, however, said “the Ogun State Police Command has adopted a security method to ensure that peace reigns supreme in this state. We working with all sectors to ensure that there is peace in this state.”

Also, the Osun State Commissioner of Police, Mrs. Dorothy Gimba, said the state command had stepped up surveillance and deployed more policemen to ensure effective security of life and property during the Easter period.

Speaking with Saturday Tribune in a telephone interview, the commissioner said no stone would be left unturned to guarantee a hitch-free Easter celebration in the state.

Mrs. Gimba said the state command would intensify its mobile patrol throughout the state, and work round the clock to ensure peace and tranquillity in the state.

“As usual, we will increase our surveillance, through patrols and explore intelligence reports to nip in the bud any act of criminality, while we will also deploy more men to strengthen the security in Osogbo, the state capital, and other communities.

“As expected, there will be more influx of eminent personalities into the state from Abuja, Lagos and other cities, and as such, we are ready as always to make sure that the security here is not breached. I can assure you that we are up to the task to discharge our duties and responsibilities efficiently, as far as the security of the state is concerned.”

In Lagos State, since police recovered bombs and AK-47 rifles in Ijora area of the state, the state command has continued to conduct raids on hideouts suspected to be operational bases of terrorists in the state; but it has insisted that such actions were just routine exercises.

Ninety two people from Chad, Mali, Republic of Niger and the northern part of were arrested, while many of them have been deported by the Lagos State command of the Immigration Service

Saturday Tribune gathered that the state police command has directed all area commanders and DPOs to properly monitor all religious institutions and public places.
“Policemen have been directed to ensure surveillance and routine patrol around places like churches, shopping malls and market places during the Easter celebrations,” a police source told Saturday Tribune.

In Oyo State, the police on Friday went round the state capital, Ibadan, and other towns with heavily armed anti-crime operatives and Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs) on a ‘show of force,’ as a way of sending warning signals to criminals.

When the Saturday Tribune called the Deputy Commissioner in charge of administration, Mr Clement Adoda, he confirmed the development, saying that it was to show that the police were prepared repel any criminal acts.

He added that all DPOs had been instructed to remain at their duty posts and to make their offices their homes for the Easter period.

“We are trying to replicate what we did during the Christmas and New Year festivities,” he disclosed further.

On measures being taken against terrorism, Mr Adoda said the fight against terrorism is an intelligence war and not the type fought on the pages of newspapers.

“We have put in place measures but we cannot disclose them. We will go by intelligence gathering and community policing, working hand-in-hand with other security agencies and different strata of the society.

“We have heard what happened in Lagos; we have studied it and we have drafted our own strategies to suit our purpose in the state,” the deputy commissioner stated further.

He revealed that the command’s strategy paid off on Thursday with the interception of a vehicle that was snatched within the capital, in less than 30 minutes after the robbery.

Adoda added that another vehicle which was snatched in another state and was being taken across Oyo State was also recovered at the Ibadan end tollgate, along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Friday, while two suspects were arrested.

UPDATE: Oga at the top movie debuts

Oga-at-the-top-movie-debuts

Call it the director’s creativity or mischief, the movie, Oga at the top, is out. Quite similar to the viral ‘Oga at the top’ quote, the movie features popular Nollywood actor, Nkem Owoh, also known as Osuofia.

Although the viral quote stopped trending on Twitter after a week of dominance, Nigerians put their creativity to test as they made T-shirts, mugs, songs and jokes about the error made by the Lagos State Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, Obafaiye Shem, during an interview on Channels Televison.

Efforts to reach Osuofia proved futile as his mobile phone was switched off when Saturday Beats tried to reach him. He did not also reply to a text message sent to his phone.

Popular Abuja Millionaire Lavishes one-in-town Party on his Dog's Birthday

We came across this story in Blueprint newspaper and thought to share with you:

Residents of Zuba, an Abuja satellite town, could not hide their surprise yesterday when a popular businessman in the town Chief Okoro Pius, staged a swanky birthday party for his Alsatian dog called Temper.

A maid in his household who would not want her name in print told our reporter that about N1 million was budgeted by her boss for the dog's tenth birthday party.

The birthday bash which was held at Milano Hotel, the most expensive hotel in the town, was attended by the host's friends from across the country. Even the disc jockey was flown in from Lagos.

The businessman told BLUEPRINT that people would say many things about him for doing what he did but he would not mind. He explained that he organized the party just to appreciate the dog for saving his life many times.

He added that if it was not for the dog, he would have been killed by armed robbers sometime last year.

Poster of Nollywood Movie 'Girls in the Mood' Raises Eyebrows

I've had cause to complain about the dirty roles being played by Tuface Idibia's wife, Annie in Nollywood movies in the past. You can hardly see her feature in any reasonable movie; it's either she's acting as a runs girl or sleeping with some guy while showing cleavages. See cover of her latest show below....

Many have been talking about this poster. We Just wanna know what you think.

This is Annie Idibia's latest movie... another celebration of immorality as usual!

PHOTO: Ini Edo Wears Open-Chest Dress - Sexy Or Trashy?

One of Nollywood's best provocative dresser, Ini Edo seems to be telling whoever cares to listen that she's still in the business of looking sexy, irrespective of her being married.

photoHer latest avatar on her twitter page is creating buzz, with some for and others against....

While many guys think she shouldn't been 'showing off' anymore since she's married, ladies who commented about her dress were full of praises of her 'sense of style'. They think she's hot!

As you can see, the dress divided her chest into two with her 'oranges' hanging in different directions.

But is it really cool for a married women to 'open up' like this? Over to you.

FRANK ARTHUS GOES IMMORAL AGAIN!

Click for Full Image Size
Frank n Mercy Johnson
In fact, African movies are becoming so dirty that people outside our continent make mockery of our film makers and actors. Because of fame and some 'chicken' change money, actors go n*ked in movies without thinking of the moral effect.

Very pathetic, when these movies and photos leak to the media, it's either they are at loggerheads with magazine publishers or they beg bloggers to take it offline. Indirectly, these actors are aware that their naked scenes and photos are nothing less compared to p*rn*gr*phy scenes and images.

Just yesterday, a friend who happens to be an actress posted a poster on her blackberry dp, an upcoming movie she said from the stables of Lucky Geo Ventures titled: AGAFE. On the poster is a n*ked Frank Arthus (Venus film’s discovery) a Liberian born actor and a n*ked lady whose face remains anonymous.

In a quest to find out who the lady was, my Nigerian friend denied being the actress on the poster and said it was a movie from Ghana. But our research indicates that Lucky Geo Ventures is a Nigerian Production.

Well, we couldn’t see our friend in the adverts but there was someone that looks like Mercy Johnson in the trailer. The anonymous actress still remains a mystery but our question is do the Censorship Board watch our movies before issuing a released date and age limit?

It is believe that s3x posters have positive sales on movies therefore even when there’s no naked or s3x scene in the movie producers deceive n*ked lover with such posters.

We urge all Municipal Assemblies to have a thorough look at movie posters before granting marketers and producers the permission to past them in the cities because even when such movies are tagged 18+ under-aged children still sees these posters in town.

How To Increase Women's Sex Drive

How To Increase Women's Sex Drive

One factor for women that is unique to them is their transition into menopause. There are other factors, though, and one of them is general health. When looking at ways to increase a woman's sex drive, the safest measures should be attempted first. Physicians should be consulted before trying any medication to improve the libido.

Step 1
Get healthier by beginning a diet and exercise regimen. Join a group that will help you to lose weight. Buy a treadmill or elliptical trainer and spend 30 minutes a day exercising. Sceintists say that the best things that people can do to increase the libido is to have a healthy diet and a regular exercise program. This leads to not only a healthier body, but a healthier mind as well. A good mental state can improve the libido, so a healthy lifestyle is the best place to start.

Step 2
Try an aphrodisiac such as oysters, scallops, chocolate, licorice and ginger. Aphrodisiacs have been around for thousands of years. By using plants, drugs and magic, people have tried to improve sexual performance and desire. Spicy foods such as chili are believed to increase sexual desire by increasing heart rates. There is no medical proof that ginseng, oysters and chili can increase libidos, but they could work because of the placebo effect. When someone is told that a substance will increase sexual desire, it might work because of the psychological belief that it will.

Step 3
Become romantic. An unexpected gift of flowers such as red roses can add a spark of romance to a relationship. Tell her you love her. Make a candlelit dinner, during which you can talk about the first few days after you became romantically interested in her and how your thoughts lingered on her. Remind her that your thoughts still do. Even with the availability of hormone replacement and additional testosterone, a woman and her partner should try a renewed sense of romance to increase her sexual desire.

Step 4
Discuss testosterone treatment with a physician. The average age of a woman undergoing menopause is 51. There is evidence that suggests the hormone levels of women who have been through menopause do not follow the same patterns as they had done before menopause. There is evidence that testosterone treatments can increase a woman's libido. It should be pointed out, however, that the long-term effects of this treatment, especially on breasts, are not known.

VIDEO: Nollywood Releases Another Soft Porn Movie Titled "Bold 5 Babes"

Nollywood has released yet another soft porn titled "Bold 5 babes".

photoWe remember the one which involved Tonto Dikeh, Jim Iyke and a Ghanaian actress. Just last week, another was released featuring Tony Umez and Chinelo in "Room 027" and now this.
Reading through the viewers comments and reviews, it is clear that Nigerians despise these soft porns.

But how come these supposed porn producers still remain in business? This means they still have people who patronize them despite all the criticism. It's surprising how girls with short dresses are utterly disgraced in public, yet buyers are encouraging soft porn.

Gone are those days, when even the kissing part of Nollywood movies were faked. Now, we hide under civilization and globalization which seems to have encouraged nudity in Nigeria.

We would really like to hear what you think about this new trend in Nollywood. Are Nigerians ready to embrace nudity?
Watch the preview below.
