UPDATE: Gen. Muhammadu Shuwa (rtd), Shot Dead In Maiduguri

Boko Haram gunmen on Friday shot and killed a retired general, Mamman Shuwa, in Maiduguri, Borno State.

Shuwa is an ally of a former governor of Borno State, Modu Sheriff.

Shuwa, who is a former minister of communications, will be buried on Friday evening.
Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima, is expected to attend the burial.

Shuwa was also a Borno elder and one of the influential citizens of the state who were consulted by the National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd.), in June.

Dasuki had shortly after his appointment embarked on shuttles to some Northern cities to seek solutions to the bloody campaign of the violent Boko Haram sect.

Crazy World: Man gets his mother pregnant…yet again

ZIMBABWE: A man in Zimbabwe has committed the worst crime possible, not once but twice. A resident of a village in Zimbabwe left his mother pregnant with his child for the second time and absconded. The mother also allegedly fled the village, according to reports in the British media.

About four years ago, the mother and son were fined by their village church after the council learnt that the woman was left pregnant by her son. At that time, the woman had miscarried when she was four months pregnant. Now, history has repeated itself.

The villagers were outraged on learning about the incestuous relationship which has been on since 2008. The woman’s husband passed away after a long illness.

Now villagers want to hunt and get the duo back to the village and subject them to harsh punishment to send out a signal to the entire community that such incestuous relationships would not be tolerated.

The villagers found out that the mother was pregnant for the second time when the woman stopped going to church. When villagers visited her at home, they found that she was five months pregnant by her own son.

Last heard, the duo were still on the run.

EXPOSED: Anti-Corruption Activist Provides Photos Of Mansion Built For Minister Orubebe In Abuja (Photo)

An anti- corruption watchdog group, Anti-Corruption Network, led by former house member Dino Melaye today provided photos of a residence it claimed was built for Nigeria's minister of the Niger Delta ministry, Elder Godsday orubebe in the Mabushi area of Abuja.

Mr. Dino stated that a construction company Setraco built and delivered the new mansion to Mr. Orubebe in less than six months after the company benefitted from contracts to build part of the East-West highway in the Delta region.

 The photos taken by the group shows a mansion located on Minister's Hill area, Mabushi Abuja.

Dino told Saharareporters that the offices of the group was burgled by unknown person after it revealed that Mr. Orubebe was involved in other scams totalling N29 billion in ficticious contract.
