Edo-Born Osuemhe Ugonoh, 18, Wins Miss Africa Ireland
The gorgeous lucky teenager who’s standing a terrific height of 6ft is a student of Athlone Institute of Technology studying Health Science & Nutrition, she walked tall to beat other stunning and intelligent contestants from other African countries such as Zambia, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Cameroon to mention but a few.
Fondly referred to as Osi by friends and family members, the beautiful teenager will be championing what she think is one of the causes of depression in children in her pet project titled Child Abuse. Also pencilled to work on the pet project with the Queen are the 1st and 2nd runners-up, Catriona Nyankabiri and Grace Might who hail from Zimbabwe and Cameroon respectively.
According to her speech shortly after she won the crown, Osuemhe told National Enquirer that she will be working with the organisers of the beauty pageant to stage an official visit to the governor of her State, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole who she describes as a political role model whose infrastructural revolution is left to be beaten in Africa.
The star studded event was attended by crème de la crème of the Irish community amongst who are Irish Minister of Trade & Foreign Affairs, Mr. Joe Costello and wife, Emer, a Member of European Parliament (MEP) for Dublin, then Eric Byrne T.D, Dublin South Central, South African Ambassador To Ireland, H.E Mr. Azwindini Jeremiah Dingaan Ndou, Counsellor Bill Tormey to mention but a few.
The annual Miss Africa Ireland is a beauty and fashion show put together by Tina Tinuke Akinola-Jinad of Tritees Promotions to showcase and celebrate the unique fashion, beauty and diverse cultures of the African people in Ireland.

DR DRE TOPS FORBES LIST OF HIGHEST PAID MUSICIANS
Superproducer Dr. Dre tops this year’s Forbes list of highest earning musicians in the world with a total gross of $110 million. This is mostly as a result of his business forays into the ‘Beats by Dr. Dre’ headphone line.
Dr. Dre started the company two years ago with Interscope chief Jimmy Iovine and part of the business was sold late last year to smartphone manufacturers HTC for $300million. Dre pocketed $100million as his cut from the deal.

Other popular names on the list include Bon Jovi at No. 6 with total earnings of $60million, Taylor Swift $57million and Justin Bieber at 10th with $55million.
Hip Hop power couple Jay-Z and Beyonce earned $38million and $40million respectively. There has only been one year in their marriage when Jay-Z has out-earned his wife.
This year’s Forbes’ list goes on to reinforce the fact that having a hit record alone does not drive an artiste to the top. Hitting the road to go on tours and having side business ventures are lucrative opportunities that should be looked into.
What’s wrong with Nigerian comedian AY?

AY, there’s no way you can be a force to reckon with in the comic industry and not offend people with your work. Almost every jokes told on stage are about somebody.
It started when the comedian wrote what seemed like a whole book on Facebook apologizing to the top notches at Kennis music for making fun of them.
While some of the fans who read the very long, boring and tiring speech thought the comedian was being nice and humble, professional comedians found the speech belittling and dangerous to their trade.
Now, AY towed the disgraceful path again by apologizing to controversial actress cum musician Tonto Dikeh, for making fun of her song.
First, why is Tonto so sensitive about her songs? If she doesn’t have confidence in them she should quickly withdraw them from the public domain. She put them out there and so should take whatever criticisms they generate.
And back to AY, if he wants to abandon comedy and take up apologizing as a profession, he’s very welcomed. So here is the list of people to apologize to. Let him start with all the politicians he has poked fun at while on stage, then D’ Banj and the entire Mo Hit crew, J Martins, all the prophets in Nigeria. When he’s done with them, he can now apologize to every Nigerian, and in fact, to everyone in the world, because it seems he has made jokes about everyone and everything in the universe.
AY, we love you, please don’t let people without sense of humor cloud your senses and bring your successful career to its knees.
