Recently, a father in
the USA was caught on camera whipping his teenage daughters after he found them
posting EXPLICIT videos on Facebook.
Greg Horn, 35, allegedly beat his two daughters, aged 12 and 14, after he caught them filming a 'twerk' video and posting it on Facebook at their home in Dayton, Ohio. Detectives said the abuse happened when the girls were visiting their father, and their mother noticed the injuries and called police.
He has now been charged with child endangerment and corporal punishment.
For many Nigerians, this is probably no big deal...most of us have been whipped or beat up for one reason or the other while growing up.
But today, times are changing. More and more people are advocating that 'child-whipping' should be abolished, insisting that it is not the best way to instill discipline. They also argue that statistically 'child-beating' is hardens kids, instead of correcting them.
