Dangote Sugar Posts N12bn Profit in Nine Months

The only sugar refinery company listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), Dangote Sugar Refinery Wednesday reported a gross profit of N12.015 billion for the nine months ended September 30, 2012. The result showed an increase of 85.6 per cent above the N6.489 billion in the corresponding period of 2011.

 

Profit after tax (PAT) rose by 85 per cent or N3.76 billion from N4.41 to N8.17 billion. The company ended the period with a turnover of N81.312 billion, showing a marginal growth of two per cent above the N79.612 billion recorded in the corresponding period of 2011.
