Raising awareness ... Chris Brown
CHRIS Brown pays tribute to late singer Aaliyah in the video for his latest single.
In the Don't Think They Know promo, Chris is seen spending time with young boys and girls in underpriviledged neighbourhoods in the US as he highlights the plight of young people in the country.Chris is also shown performing topless and in a dance studio as famous footage of Aaliyah dancing is projected on to the wall behind him in the selective-colour themed video.
The song features his vocals alongside a haunting never-before heard sample from Aaliyah who died in a 2001 plane crash aged 22.
The video is introduced with a clear message of how Chris, 24, feels about the state of society in the US.
The hard-hitting statement reads: "Every two hours in America today a child dies of a gunshot wound.
"'Unity is what we are afraid of so fear is insanity, let's love each other.' - Not CB, just Christopher."
And the video closes with a dedication to the well-loved R&B star.
It says: "Dear Aaliyah, we love and miss you. Thank you for inspiring us all."
