Oh la la! SEE the world’s hottest bikini bodies… and a South African takes the lead in gold (PHOTOS)

It may be winter in North America, but the new Victoria’s Secret Swim Catalog is sure to heat up the continent with it’s steamy array of bikini-clad models lead by cover girl Candice Swanepoel.

Not only does she smoulder on page one, in a bejeweled black bra, but Candice cavorts in various swim wear such the hot bronze two piece and a pink bikini.

But the other leggy gals have a lot of show too – including a fetching green bikini worn by tousle-haired Behati Prinsloo and a dazzling yellow halter bikini worn by Lais Ribeiro.

Of course the cover of the Victoria’s Secret annual Swim Catalog is like the Fantasy Bra of the brand’s yearly Runway Show. It’s a coveted spot that the Angel’s compete for every season.

And for 2013, it looks like sultry South African Angel Candice was given the honor for the third time in a row – wearing the new Very Sexy Bandeau bikini, ‘a retro inspired’ push-up.
The latest catalog hit mailboxes on January 4.

In a behind-the-scenes clip, the 24-year-old says: ‘It’s really nice to see myself on the cover, and after all the iconic women, like Gisele and Tyra Banks, it’s an honor.’

Cover girl: Candice garnered the star spot in the 2013 Swim Catalog for the third time in a row

She added: ‘For me, doing swim, it’s the best part of being a Victoria’s Secret Angel because I love the sun and the ocean.’

Victoria’s Secret posted the catalog cover on Facebook this week as a teaser, stating simply, ‘The sexiest swim season ever starts now…’

This is the third time in a row the model has been chosen to star on the catalog, which is celebrating its sixteenth year. The blonde also scored the Swim cover in 2012 and 2011.

Photographed by Russell James, Miss Swanepoel posed for the new catalog in Turks and Caicos and Miami along with fellow Angels Miranda Kerr, Erin Heatherton, and Doutzen Kroes, as well as Vogue’s top 2012 model, Karlie Kloss.

The catalog features swimsuits ‘inspired by old Hollywood, glamorous starlets and their chic escapes to the most luxurious destinations in the world,’ says the brand in a statement.
While shooting the catalog a few weeks ago in Miami, Miss Heatherton, 23, opened up about maintaining her Victoria’s Secret body.

‘I’ve learned a lot about diet in my years of being an Angel. A mistake a lot of girls make is that they work out but don’t eat enough. If you’re not eating enough, all the work outs are doing, it’s not going to show.

 

‘You could be doing a million butt lifts, but your butt is not going to get any bigger because there is nothing to build on. Your body needs food to make that happen.’
