Nigerian Girl Is Miss UN International Tourism

A Nigerian has made the nation proud in faraway Kingston, Jamaica. Last weekend, Nigeria’s contender in the Miss UN International Tourism beauty pageant, Gbemisola Shotade, emerged winner after trashing 21 other contestants.



21-year-old Shotade, current Miss Global Nigeria (MGN)’s first runner-up came tops at the pageant which featured beauty queens from all over the globe. Commenting, an excited Shotade who returned to the country on Tuesday morning at the international Airport said: "I am so excited.

There were many pretty girls there but I was lucky to have won. I am glad I was able to make my country proud and set the Nigerian flag flying in faraway Kingston, Jamiaca." Shotade, reigning Miss Congeniality, also won the award for Best Traditional Atire at the pageant.

 She smiled home with $10,000 cash and a modeling contract with Oil Sheen, an international beauty brand.
