Ahead
of the 53rd Independence Day celebrations on October 1st when Nigerians
usually celebrate their independence from the British Colonial masters,
small celebrations has started on the streets of Abuja with thousands
of patriotic Nigerians in colourful outfits joining.
On
the 1st of October year 1960, Nigeria officially gained independence
from the UK and since then, the date has become the most celebrated day
in the history of Nigeria.
