MARVIN RECORDS AND GENEVIEVE NNAJI REACH OUT TO FLOOD VICTIMS IN ASABA
In the act of showing love and support to the needy, Nigerian music group, Mavins teamed up with Imo state born actress, Genevieve Nnaji to stretch a helping hand to those who had lost their homes and belongings in the recent flood of the delta region.
On Monday, October 15, 2012, Don Jazzy, Tiwa Savage, Dr.Sid and other members of the Mavin family decided to visit Asaba, one of the areas worst hit by the ravaging waters. It was to be a visit none of them would ever forget. The recent floods have been one of the worst natural disasters to hit Nigeria.
The Mavin family visited two refugee camps during their one-night stay in Asaba and Dr. Sid said he was almost moved to tears by some of the scenes he saw. The refugee camps were littered with the vulnerable –old and young – lost and in need of supplies, support and loved ones. In spite of the palpable hardships, the Mavins were welcomed with joy and open arms.
