American tennis superstars, Serena and Venus Williams
arrived in Nigeria yesterday ahead of the two-nation tour that will see the
tennis stars play exhibition matches and train kids.
Venus arrived at the Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos at about 3p.m. on Tuesday with officials from the ‘Breaking The Mould’, BTM campaign team and pressmen welcoming them as Serena was expected at 9p.m.
The sisters paid the Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola a courtesy visit at the State House on Wednesday (today), after which they will attend a tennis clinic at Ikoyi Club. They will also visit a puberty education class for girls before playing an exhibition match to wrap up their Nigeria visit.
Venus and Serena will leave Nigeria for South Africa on Friday, November 2, 2012.
