PDP leader gives 30 cows to party members

Respite came the way of Peoples Democratic Party’s supporters at the grass roots in Lagos State on Friday as the party leader in the state, Chief Owolabi Salis, donated 30 cows to them for the Sallah.

Salis said the donation was his token to make them have a sense of belonging and to correct the impression of some party members that the leadership had abandoned them.
He said apart from the cows, he had also empowered many youths in the state.
He urged the youth to embrace peace in the interest of national unity and socio-economic development.

Some party members and executives commended Salis for the donation, saying his gesture gave them a sense of belonging and a memorable Sallah celebration.
A man, who identified himself as Akeem, urged other party leaders to take a cue from Salis, adding that this would make party members at the grass roots to see themselves as members of the larger PDP family.

He added that the gesture had made him realise that there were some members who still had the interest of the ordinary members of the party at heart.
