6 Die, 13 Injured In Ogun Auto Crash

Tragedy struck, Monday, along Ibadan-Sagamu expressway in Sagamu local government area of Ogun State when six persons including three children died in auto crash while 13 others were in critical condition.

Confirming the incident, the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Commander, Sagamu Unit, Lanreaju Ogundele, said the accident involved a Toyota Hiace bus marked Sokoto GWD 20 XA heading to Lagos from Sokoto .

He said the bus was carrying 19 passengers before the accident and that apart from the six passengers that died,13 injured passengers had been taken to a nearby hospital.

According to him, “19 persons were involved but only six died; others are in very critical conditions as we speak and receiving treatments at Idera Hospital in Sagamu. Corpses of the three children as well as that of the two male and one female adult had been deposited at Fakoya Hospital Mortuary in Sagamu.

“It is very important for drivers to be very careful when they drive in foggy weather condition especially when visibility is impaired, drivers should drive with common sense speed limit.”
