A brief fight ensued at the MKO Abiola International Stadium, Abeokuta, Ogun State yesterday when some spectators who thronged the stadium to watch the novelty match between some Yoruba actors and some radio and television workers in Ogun State, engaged themselves in some argument over money thrown at them by some actors.

The match was played as part of the funeral rites of late veteran theatre arts practitioner, Pa Akin Ogungbe, who died some weeks ago.

Soon after the match between Association of Theatre Arts Practitioners (ANTP) and Radio and Television Theatre Arts Workers Union (RATTAWU) ended, street urchins popularly called 'area boys' besieged Saheed Balogun, Jide Kosoko, Dele Odule and others for money.

When a sizeable amount of money was dished out to one of the area boys by an actor, he ran which resulted into him being chased by others. A brief fight ensued when he was caught but it was later calmed when the guy agreed to part away with what he collected.

While this was going on, the actors sped off.
