Court Arraigns 3 Over Alleged Manhood Disappearance
Three teenagers, Suleiman Abdullahi, 17, Ibrahim Sule, 17 and Sani Dahiru, 18 were yesterday arraigned before a Chief Magistrates’ Court in Gwagwalada for alleged false claim of manhood disappearance.
The police prosecutor, Martha Paul, told the court that the suspects were on October 2 arrested following a complaint lodged at the Gwagwalada police station by the complainant, Junaid Abdullahi.
According to the prosecutor, the suspects had inflicted injury on Abdullahi following claims that he was responsible for the disappearance of their manhood.
Paul stated that the complainant was rushed to the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital for treatment following the injury inflicted on him by the accused persons adding that the complainant has so far spent N3000 for treatment.
The prosecutor who said the accused persons had confessed to committing the offence during police investigation, said they were arraigned on a five count-charge of joint act, criminal force, assault, causing hurt and defamation of character.
The accused persons however pleaded not guilty to the charges when they were read to them and begged the court through their counsel, Mr. Luke Oko to grant them bail.
Magistrate Zubairu Mohammed therefore granted them bail in the sum of N20,0000 with a surety who must be resident within the jurisdiction of the court. The case was adjoined to October 16, for hearing.
