The management of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, MAPOLY, Abeokuta, yesterady absolved the Rector and principal officers of the Institution of involvement in the N100 million fraud allegedly perpetrated by the executive members of the Non-Academic Staff Union, NASU, of the institution.
It would be recalled that, three staff of MAPOLY who were executive members of NASU in the institution were arrested in handcuffs by operatives of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, last Thursday.
Reacting to the matter, the Management pointed out that at no time did the principal officers of the polytechnic collect any money to compromise the fraud.
The PRO of the polytechnic, Sulaimon Adebiyi, said yesterday in Abeokuta that it was the management that instituted the case of fraud and financial recklessness against the three ex-union officers.
