$620,000 Bribery Scam: Farouk, Emenalo Granted bail

 
The infamous chairman of the House of Representatives’ Ad-hoc committee on the probe fuel subsidy regime Farouk Lawan and the Secretary, Mr. Emenalo Boniface arraigned for collecting $650,000 bribe from Zenon boss Femi Otedola, have today been granted bail by an Abuja High Court.

The duo who have been in incarceration for a week were granted bail in the sum of N10 million, and are to produce two sureties each in like sum. The court also directed them to deposit their international passports with the Registrar of the court and cannot travel out of Nigeria without the court’s permission.

The case is slated for April 10 and 17 for hearing.
