Lady Gaga Checks into Hospital for Hip Surgery

Lady Gaga scrapped the remaining date on her Born This Way Ball tour earlier this month after being diagnosed with synovitis, a severe inflammation of the joints.

This week she was seen using a wheelchair - which she had named 'Emma' - to take the strain off her legs. And now Gaga is going under the knife in a bid to address the problem.
